Barrel #8 is a Basil Hayden Bourbon Barrel. It is an American White Oak barrel with a #1 char or toasted. The interesting thing about this barrel is that the cooperage used an innovative and proprietary new cold smoking process that infused hickory smoke to the barrel without having flame, heat, or smoking material come in contact with the barrel. This is the second time this barrel has aged tequila.
